Our Prosecco Spumante Extra Dry was awarded a silver medal at the seventh edition of Effervescents du Monde, the competition for the Best Sparkling Wines in the World organised by Forum Oenologie and held recently at the Lycée Le Castel in Dijon, France. Effervescents du Monde is the only annual competition that brings together the entire world sparkling wine sector. It is a truly international competition, which saw as many as 24 countries, 519 wines and 75 expert judges taking part this year. The competition was carried out in strict compliance with international wine competition rules and implementation of ISO 9002 Quality Assurance standard was guaranteed. After two days of tasting, the judges allocated a total of 173 medals: 37 gold and 136 silver. Our Prosecco was one of the 16 Italian labels to be awarded a silver medal, while only 6 clinched a gold. French wines, represented by the most important Champagne maisons, along with other regions such as Burgundy and Alsace, obtained a large proportion of the medals. Wines from Spain, Brazil, Australia, Hungary, Switzerland, Argentina and Canada also received awards. The result we achieved in this top-notch international competition fills us with pride and rewards the excellent work carried out in the vineyard and wine cellars.
